How to apply pencil eyeliner

How to apply pencil eyeliner

Top Tips

Use a silicon based eyeliner pencil  as it will glide on easy and stay on for a long time

Work from the inner corners of your eyelids and move outwards along the roots of eyelashes with several short strokes.

Smudge this first layer with your finger to soften the look and cover any thin loose skin on your eyelid.

Add a second line along the upper eye lid for more definition.  Again drawing along the roots of the upper lashes covering entire length of eyelid.

Draw a line along the roots of lower lashes stopping half way along working from the corner of your eye inwards.

To make your eyes look brighter, apply a coloured eyeliner in white, purple or blue along the inner rim of the lower eye lid working with short strokes along the length of the eye lid.

How can I avoid Panda Eyes?

How can I avoid Panda Eyes?

Make sure your concealer colour compliments your skin tone and rest of your face. Don’t use a concealer which is too light or pale compared to the foundation or colour of your face.  It is really important that your concealer matches your foundation colour closely, 1 or 2 shade tones should be fine, however anything more will result in the panda eye effect.

How can I completely cover a spot?

How can I completely cover a spot?

Apply concealer to the area and then blend out using a tapping motion with middle finger.  Avoid a wiping motion as this will merely remove what you’ve just applied.

If the your still seeing spot nice and shinny, dip a thin eye liner brush into a thick concealer and apply it to the centre and stipple over the area using the brush until it is hidden.

Take a damp cotton bud or cotton bud with a little moisuturiser and wipe any excess over the good skin.

Then dip a small briush or powder puff over some loose powder and lock in the conceler! Simple!
