Pretty Face Style & Expert Makeup Advice |
Pretty pastel colours are combined together for asoft yet striking look that is perfect for midsummer make-up. The really good news about pastels is that they are much easier to apply than the stronger, more definite eyeshadow colours, such as brown or charcoal. Here, the lilacs and blues used around the eyes are beautifully balanced by soft pink lips and a light dusting of pink blusher on the apples of the cheeks. Eyebrows are neatly arched to help open up the eye area and so show off the delicate pastel shades even more.

- If you are afraid of looking too "doll-like", you can harden the pastel shades by changing the lip colour from the soft pink to a strong, dramatic red.
- It is important to soften the eyeliner for this look by brushing cover with an eyeshadow as close to the lash-line as possible.
- User a nail polish in a correspinding pastel shade.
- Choose no-fuss, no-frills clothes in colours that will increase the impact of the pastel make-up.
- Styling hair away from the face, in a high, spiky ponytail, for example, also helps to strenghen the effect.
